This honeymoon is for couples who want romance with an edge—where intimacy lives in the quiet between icebergs, the warmth of a fire after a wild day, and the feeling of doing something extraordinary together. Across 6 nights, you’ll cross Greenland through two iconic regions, pairing Disko Bay’s iceberg drama with Nuup Kangerlua’s deep-fjord wilderness. At HoneymoonXperts®, your planning/design fee is translated into tangible deliverables: a discovery session to define your travel style, curated options for camps and experiences, thoughtful iterations to refine the details, and a final plan with checklists—plus support for changes as your departure approaches.

Disko Bay: Illulissat to Saqqaq Camp

Touch down in Illulissat—your gateway to Disko Bay—and begin with a private transfer straight to The Icefjord Centre. With sweeping views of Kangia Icefjord, you’ll get a sense of Greenland’s scale before stepping outside and into it.

Your first shared adventure is a guided hike through Sermermiut Valley, exploring ancient Inuit settlement sites before a picnic beside the icebergs of Ilulissat Icefjord—a moment that feels both cinematic and quietly personal. Then, by RIB boat, you’ll travel onward to Saqqaq Camp, your secluded base for the first part of your honeymoon.

The next day is unforgettable: paddleboard among icebergs, then take an Arctic swim wearing a specially designed survival drysuit—an adrenaline spark you’ll laugh about for years. As night falls, return to the fire for Greenlandic coffee, a slow, cozy ritual with the bay right outside your tent.

Your final day in Disko Bay is about nature and connection: learn traditional Inuit fishing techniques with an expert guide and a local fisherman, then head out on the water again—this time searching for whales as they move through the “sea of ice.”

Nuup Kangerlua: Nuuk to Camp Kiattua

Now you’ll swap one spectacular setting for another. Return to Ilulissat Airport for your flight to Nuuk, Greenland’s brightly colored capital. From there, a helicopter carries you over Nuuk Fjord toward your next private base: Camp Kiattua, set deep within Nuup Kangerlua’s ancient mountain landscape.

On the way, you’ll pause at Sermitsiaq mountain—Nuuk’s iconic pyramid-shaped peak—for a champagne moment that feels made for a honeymoon: wind on your cheeks, sweeping views below, and that “we’re really here” feeling settling in.

The following day is a couples’ highlight: kayak through Amitsuarsuk Fjord between plunging cliffs, forage wild mussels, and catch cod with your guide. You’ll pull up to a secluded shoreline and cook your fresh catch over open flames—simple, elemental, and unexpectedly romantic. Back at camp, forage for berries and mushrooms in Kiattua Valley, then unwind together in the camp’s hot tub as the Arctic evening stretches long.

Your penultimate day is pure celebration. Accompanied by a private chef, you’ll hike the summit of Uumannaq (420 meters), then settle into a traditional Greenlandic BBQ with panoramic views—an elevated finish to a bold, intimate journey. Spend your final night back at Camp Kiattua, watching the stars (and, if you’re lucky, the Northern Lights) before your departure.
